Barneys Reef Wind Farm

Project Location

The project site is located approximately 15km north of Gulgong, between the communities of Gulgong and Dunedoo. The project is wholly within the Mid-Western Local Regional Council, however, lies approximately 6km from the Warrumbungle Shire Council boundary. The area is within the Federal Electorate of Calare.

The site sits across approximately 7,500 hectares of farmland, used predominately for sheep and cattle grazing. The project will be able to effectively coexist with the existing agricultural use of the land and will occupy less than 2% of the total land area.
